Book Review of “KINGDOM OF THE WICKED” By Kerri Maniscalco @jimmy_books @KerriManiscalco

From the #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series comes a new blockbuster series…

Two sisters.

One brutal murder.

A quest for vengeance that will unleash Hell itself…

And an intoxicating romance.

Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe – witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution. One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family’s renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin…desecrated beyond belief. Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister’s killer and to seek vengeance at any cost-even if it means using dark magic that’s been long forbidden.

Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked-princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia’s side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women’s murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems…

Thank you Jimmy Patterson Books for gifting me an ARC in exchange of an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is my first Kerri Maniscalco book and my mind was blown. From the first page, I knew I was reading greatness! And the book cover is to die for. It just screamed Fall reading!

I love the dynamics of Wrath and Emilia. I loved that they are both so loyal, fierce, strong, and oh so stubborn. Even though they hated each other, they had each others backs. I am so invested in them, and to see where their story is going to go, especially after that ending. Holy mother of freaking cliffhangers!

Also, I’d love to mention that the 7 Princes of Hells name choices was extremely clever! Mad respect for that! Also, I spent 90% of this book hungry because of the talk of delicious food! I love that Kerri was inspired by her own family history.

I was picking up this book, every spare second that I had. I was so entwined with the plot, and I had to know who was killing these poor girls. I also really appreciated that this book was dark, and a bit gory. No YA fluff here folks!
