C-26 by D.D. Lorenzo is now live!
Love and Time. Always hoped for, never promised.
Love conquers all… even time.
Writer Skylar Harrison is a beautiful old soul telling timeless love stories in a fast-paced, superficial world. Spending hours a day lost in the pages doesn’t allow much time for a love story of her own. But it’s possible her story has already begun.
Musician Darren “Dash” Barrows seemingly has it all. As lead guitarist for “Disordered Fate,” everything he could ever want is at his fingertips–except an honest relationship. Life on the road has left him jaded and alone. But not for long.
Two strangers are about to have their lives turned upside down by a serendipitous encounter that leaves them both breathless. In the moment Dash shows Skylar that chivalry isn’t dead, she feels a mysterious connection to the handsome man who came to her rescue. When fate collides their paths, does time stop?
Or has it been spinning all this time?
My heart, my center My one In a universe of stars and wonders I looked for you In a mist of space and time I saw you In a world of blood and bone I kissed you In the infinite scale of eternity I loved you In the lost and lonely darkness I will always find you
My Review- I went in to this book loving the Titanic intro, I am a big fan of anything Titanic. The first few pages of this book were absolutely beautiful! That’s not saying that the whole book wasn’t beautiful. I felt like this was a timeless love story, and I loved that the Author did something new, and put such a great twist on a classic love story.
I fell in love with Dash and Skylar, their love story was sweet. While I didn’t like some choice words the Author used like “You’re so hot and cute” they just didn’t fit the narrative of the book. D.D. Lorenzo had this deep and beautiful writing, and then I felt it was a bit dumbed down with sentences like that. It made me think these characters were teenagers, and not adults.
That ending though, it just about broke my heart. I can’t say anything further as to not spoil it. But to me, it was relatable as I have experience with it. Had me ugly crying, even though it deserved a beautiful cry.
