Thank you to Smith Publicity for gifting me this book. All opinions are my own.
Welcome to my stop on THE SUMMER OF ’98 Blog Tour.
I have started to gravitate away from the star rating system, and basically just rate based on my general feelings’s. .
I enjoyed this book, I am new to this genre, and really haven’t read a lot of romance or contemporary, so my review might not be the greatest.
I enjoyed this book, a lot. I have not read the book that this was a prequel to, but now I want to.
I was a highschool student in 1998 so in that aspect this book was already relatable. For me, it was kind of reminiscent of Pretty In Pink, or a trope that was in a lot of books and movies in the 90’s.
Ellie was very naive, very sweet, Leroy was very protective, very strong. They both brought out things in each other that I liked. Their love story was sweet.
Overall, I was impressed with this book and I found myself really enjoying it.
