Book Review Of “House Of Furies” (Book One)By Madeleine Roux @harperteen @Authorroux @WunderElena @WunderTanya
Thank you to the lovely folks at Wunderkind PR and Harper Teen for gifting me this series in exchange of an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I rate this book at 3.5 out of 5 Stars.
First and foremost, the cover is stunning. My son was a big fan of Roux’s Asylum series, So when I was approached about reviewing these, it was really a no brainer. My son has great taste in YA books.
I have discovered a love for Horror books, whether it be Adult of YA, and I’d say HOUSE OF FURIES found a good balance, not too light, and not too heavy. I appreciated the pace of this book too, and really like how all the other residents of Cold Thistle House , while nice to Louisa, you knew that they harbored dark secrets.
This was such an interesting prose, and I really loved the aspect of, If you come to visit, you will be handed judgement for all your sins, doesn’t that just sound terrifying? I loved the dark world building, the depth, and richness to the characters, and how everything just flowed extremely well, I felt like I flew through this book. Thankfully I had the whole set, so I could really do a good binge read!
