Blog Tour And Book Review For “Shadow Writer” By Eliza Maxwell @TLCBookTours @AmazonPub @LakeUnionAuthors @elizamaxwellwrites

Every writer has a story. Some are deadlier than others.
Aspiring author Graye Templeton will do anything to escape the horrific childhood crime that haunts her. After a life lived in shadows, she’s accepted a new job as protégé to Laura West, influential book blogger and wife of an acclaimed novelist. Laura’s connections could make Graye’s publishing dreams a reality. But there’s more to Laura than meets the eye.
Behind the veneer of a charmed life, Laura’s marriage is collapsing. Her once-lauded husband is descending into alcoholism and ruin and bringing Laura nearer to the edge.
As the two women form a bond that seems meant to be, long-buried secrets claw their way into the present, and the line between friendship and obsession begins to blur, forcing each to decide where her loyalties lie. Running from the past is a dangerous game, and the loser could end up dead.
MY BOOK REVIEW- This was a solid thriller. Well written, and with the added touch of having the character being a book blogger! What a great way to connect the reader to Graye. Right off the bat we find something relatable to the main character.
This was my first Eliza Maxwell books, I have heard many great things about her, so I was excited to be a part of this blog tour. There are certain things I like in thrillers such as, unreliable narrators, unlikeable characters, fast paced, nothing extremely plot heavy, well executed alternating chapters, dark, and creepy, and this book touched on all of those. It made for a quick, enjoyable read, and I appreciate that.
Both Graye and Laura are intense characters, and there is something just off with the both of them. It was fun putting this puzzle together, and now I am looking forward to reading more Maxwell books!

I love it when multiple characters are kind of.. not right so you never really know what’s going on. This sounds like a good read! Thank you for being on this tour! Sara @ TLC Book Tours
