Book Review Of “It Feels Good To Be Yourself” By Theresa Thorn And Illustrated By Noah Grigni @HenryHolt #BYR @MacKidsBooks

A picture book that introduces the concept of gender identity to the youngest reader from writer Theresa Thorn and illustrator Noah Grigni.
Some people are boys. Some people are girls. Some people are both, neither, or somewhere in between.
This sweet, straightforward exploration of gender identity will give children a fuller understanding of themselves and others. With child-friendly language and vibrant art, It Feels Good to Be Yourself provides young readers and parents alike with the vocabulary to discuss this important topic with sensitivity.

Thank you Henry Holt Books For Young Readers/Macmillan Children’s Books for gifting us a copy of this book.

We enjoyed this one, and I am so proud to live in a day and age, where these kind of books can be published for Children. There is no way they could have existed when I was a kid.

This was a cute, but educational book. I feel like I even learned something. The illustrations were beautiful, and I appreciated the definitions that were honest and simply stated. My boys did have a lot of questions while reading it, but I feel they understood when I answered them. This is going to be a great book who has questions about Gender Identity, or a child that is struggling with what they identify with. I also want to add, I loved the colorful cast of characters!
