Book Review Of “It’s Not A Bed, It’s A Time Machine” By Mickey Rapkin And Illustrated By Teresa Martinez @MacKidsBooks

In It’s Not a Bed, It’s a Time Machine, a clever picture book by Mickey Rapkin and Teresa Martinez, a young boy anxious for bedtime discovers his bed is a time machine!
Bedtime means lights out, with dark corners and spooky sounds. But it also means . . .
Adventure! Because it’s not a bed, it’s a time machine. Our hero rides it to the coolest time of all―the age of the dinosaurs. He makes a tyrannosaurus-sized friend, who helps him become the Boss of Bedtime.
While tonight’s sleep will span millions of years, it’ll feel like it’s over in the blink of an eye.

Thank you MacMillan Children’s Books, for gifting Gavin and Liam a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review. All opinions are our own.

Gavin and Liam both rate this book a “whole bunch of stars” and I rate this book a 5 out of 5 Stars.

It’s bright, imaginative, cheerful, fun, silly, sweet, and totally adorable, all rolled into one perfect bedtime story. We all agreed that the sock nibbling T-Rex was our favorite! We had a great time reading this book, and have read it several times since we received it.

IT’S NOT A BED, IT’S A TIME MACHINE, was the perfect length, with the right amount of words per page. My little guys didn’t get impatient, or bored, and requested that I read it three times in a row. I love books that hold their attention, and books that they enjoy so much they ask that I repeatedly read it!
