So we have not read the first book The Wild Robot, but that didn’t affect reading this one at all. T.W.R.E. was a lot of fun. It was such a clever and fun read, that held the attention of my four-year old twins. We read a couple chapter’s every day, and finished it rather quickly. Liam and Gavin loved Roz, and they also loved that Roz knew how to talk to animals. We did not get to see the final art inside the book, but I imagine it was very quirky. I did appreciate the moral of this story. Roz did whatever she could to get back to whom and what she loved. Just like a mother would do for her own children.
This is a solid 4 star book for us. A great story, good for ages as young as 4. It was entertaining, and clever, and really such a fun experience with my boys.
