Isolated and unwelcome in the picturesque seaside village of Rawscar, Reverend Cass Fordyce has lost her faith and her home. Christmas is coming, and she isn’t looking forward to it. Then she meets attractive local man Hal – twice divorced and with a reputation as a ladies’ man he’s everything that a celibate vicar like Cass should avoid… especially as Hal is hiding secrets of his own, including his past with the mysterious Anna.
Can Cass ever find her way in Rawscar? What secret does Hal have to hide? And is there ever such a thing as a truly fresh start? (From Goodreads)

I rate this book a 4 out of 5 Stars.
I am not a big romance reader, as you can probably tell by looking at past reviews, however I loved the sound of this book. I liked the added intrigue and the promise of secrets and mystery.
This book did not disappoint. It was well written, very sweet, and I loved the Christmasy vibe it put off. The thing about books with short chapters is that I find myself reading them very quickly. This book is the kind that keeps you saying “One More Chapter” because it’s written so well, and it reads so smoothly.
I love books based in Villages, it always makes me want to live in one. I loved how vivid and detailed this one was, and I felt like I was living inside the pages of this cute story.
