Book Review of “The Couple Next Door” by Shari Lapena

How well do you know the couple next door? Or your husband? Or even—yourself?

People are capable of almost anything. . .

A domestic suspense debut about a young couple and their apparently friendly neighbors—a twisty, rollercoaster ride of lies, betrayal, and the secrets between husbands and wives. . .

Anne and Marco Conti seem to have it all—a loving relationship, a wonderful home, and their beautiful baby, Cora. But one night when they are at a dinner party next door, a terrible crime is committed. Suspicion immediately focuses on the parents. But the truth is a much more complicated story.

Inside the curtained house, an unsettling account of what actually happened unfolds. Detective Rasbach knows that the panicked couple is hiding something. Both Anne and Marco  soon discover that the other is keeping secrets, secrets they’ve kept for years.

What follows is the nerve-racking unraveling of a family—a chilling tale of  deception, duplicity, and unfaithfulness that will keep you breathless until the final shocking twist. (From Amazon)

I rate this book a 4.75 out of 5 stars.

** I was given this book for free, in exchange for an honest review**

This book, is INCREDIBLE! I was sucked in from the first page. The writing is amazing, the twists are insane, you don’t know who to trust, who to believe, and just when you think you had it figured out. You had NO idea. The ending, oh my goodness. I am even afraid to mention my thoughts, I don’t want to risk spoiling anything, for anyone. I will just say, you may think you know someone, be it a friend, a spouse, a family member, a neighbor. People are fickle, life is crazy, and people do horrible things. This is possibly one of the best books I have read in 2016.

You all must read this. It comes out on August 23rd, 2016. Go pre-order it, right now. Do not hesitate.
